Today you are 9 months old. You have now been in the womb around 9 months and out of the womb 9 months! You have really grown a lot this past month. You are crawling forward really well! You can stand unassisted for up to 5 seconds and are wanting to take steps without holding onto anything. One of your favorite things to do is walk while holding our hands. You love to cruise and walk along the furniture. You are very curious and interested in your environment.
You are wearing 12-18 month clothes. We'll go to the doctor for your well baby check-up next week and I'll add your measurements then. You are still wearing a size 3 diaper, although we'll probably move you up to size 4 soon. You mostly wear cloth at home so we have what you need there.
You now have teeth! You got your first two bottom front teeth a few weeks ago!

You sleep 11-12 hours at night. You take 1 to 2 naps a day from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. Lately you go several days of the week where you only take 1 nap. It makes for a long day! You enjoy being held and yet love exploring and playing with toys. Your favorite friend is your brother. He makes you laugh more than anyone else! Although you also like looking at other kids a lot too.
Your pincher grip is getting really good. I let you feed yourself breakfast although you still really aren't that interested in solids. You'd rather just squish the food in your hands and rub your hands all over your highchair tray. Probably 90-95% of your calories come from breast milk. You also love water!
You seem to love animals. You love all books with animals and books in general. We took you to the zoo the first time a few weeks ago and you loved looking at all the animals.
You are very social and love people! Although you don't like people you don't know well getting to close to you unless your with Mom or Dad. You don't mind kids as much as adults. You like your Sunday school class at church and playing with your friends there as well as your friends at co-ops.

I think you will love dance and music as you get older. You seem to really love music and will dance to the beat very well. Your rhythm is excellent.You also love to babble and sing along as well as clap, move, or bang something to the beat.
Taking your pictures today was more challenging. You kept crawling away or toward me. I was worried you might crawl off the bed. We had some laughs and some tears. I tried capturing an overview of your sweet looks. You are such a beautiful girl and Mommy and Daddy love you very much! We are so thankful that God chose us to be your parents!
